| INGREDIENTS 1 TBSP - olive oil 1 small onion - diced 1 clove garlic - minced 1/4 tsp - chili powder 1/4 tsp - salt 1 can - kidney beans - rinsed 1/2 cup - tomato sauce 1/4 cup - ketchup several whole wheat hamburger buns or whole wheat bread |
| DIRECTIONS In a medium sauce pan, saute the onion in the olive oil for several minutes. Add the garlic, chili powder and salt. Saute for another 30 seconds. Next add the kidney beans, tomato sauce, and ketchup. Simmer for 10 minutes and serve. This recipe makes 3 to 4 servings. Scale up or down for the quantity you need. |
